We’re back again at the Donald Tucker Rehab House in Praire Village to take a closer look at the subfloor in the room addition from last week.
Remember we talked about the 20 or so dogs. . . well this is what they did when they could not get outside. The plywood floor and subfloor under the carpet is literally rotting apart. It is very soft and squishy.
Man oh man the smell. Be glad we don’t have smell o’vision, because the dogs did a number on this house.
Checkback next week for the next installment on this Prairie Village home where we replaced the full roof and gutters, plus all the windows, the doors and the siding. If you have a home that needs this much work, and you just don’t want to spend the time or the money, another option is to sell the home.
NOT PENALIZED FOR NOT GETTING EVERYTHING CLEANED OUT OF THE HOUSE
I liked the fact that I wasn’t penalized or felt pressure for not getting everything cleaned out of the house. There was over 40 years and three families’ worth of treasure stored in the house, making me feel that the challenge of cleaning it was going to be impossible. I did what I could and you never hesitated in telling me that it’s ok to leave the rest behind.
