We buy houses and see a lot of scary stairs situations. Our video today looks at the scary stairs that we often find on the front of raised ranches. We also see them in split-entry homes and others that have stairs to the front door. Most of the houses are 30-plus years old. The 100 year old houses are fairly solid, but those build after 1960 are sometimes not as solid.

This is the house we bought in Independence. House is awesome. Standard 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom model, but what is super cool is the 3 season porch on the back. What was not cool were these stairs in the video below:

• The stairs going to the basement with a few missing steps in the middle.
• The stairs going to the basement that didn’t exist.
• The door out the back of the dining room to the deck and stairs that were missing.
• The stairs going up to a wooden front porch that were rather squishy and rotten.
• Then these concrete stairs that were built incorrectly and falling off the house.
