If you need to sell, no matter the situation, please, don’t hesitate to call.

I was in a probate/estate sale situation. My father passed away with no will. I had to go to court just to be named the administrator. I didn’t know what to do or who to call. I heard about KcmoHomebuyer and gave them a call. I met Scott at my father’s house. He was very, very sincere and helpful. I was pleased with his offer and as they say, the rest is history. If you need to sell, no matter the situation, please, don’t hesitate to call Scott at KcmoHomebuyer. You will not regret it. Thank you so much, Scott!!

Our Mission

Is to serve our community one family and one house at a time. We strive to be honest, have integrity, and provide outstanding customer service with everything we do.

To that end, we have devoted considerable time to our education in the Senior Living Industry, both through assisting our own loved ones and continuing education.  Our team has attained our Senior Transition Specialist Certifications from Mom’s House, a national Senior Industry advocate. As an advocate, we specialize in helping families transition their loved ones into senior care by offering solutions that provide an easier less stressful way to sell the house without “getting it ready to sell”, without Realtor commissions, and we can even help with all the “stuff”.  We purchase homes and investment property outright, in “as-is” condition, so families can close within weeks instead of months allowing their loved ones to get to the care they need faster.

If you need help with selling a home, take a moment to tell us about it either by calling (816) 408-3600 or filling out one of our online forms.

We are also partnering with the Paying for Long-Term Care project.  Many of the families we help are often unprepared to handle the challenges that come with transitioning a loved one into long-term care. We have looked for a resource to help the families we are involved in and have found Paying For Long Term Care project to have resources to help with Paying for Care, Choosing the Type of Care and Community, What to Do with the House and Stuff, plus many of the Legal and Financial Needs.

If you are preparing for your future or helping a loved one through this process and need help, please visit www.PayingForLongTermCare.com

Meet the kcmoHomeBuyer Team

Our founder Don Tucker was working for a Deck Builder at a time and spending all his time bidding jobs, collecting money, and managing contractors . . for someone else.  In 2000 he quit his job, did some research, read some books, talked to people, and bought our first investment house.  Since that time we have bought 100s of houses, renovated them, and for the most part sold them across the Kansas City Metro Area.

In 2000 after a long-term love-hate relationship with retail, Don’s wife Kim Tucker quit her job and joined the team.  Back then Kim was our Realtor who sold our houses and helped us find houses to renovate.  Along the way, Kim noticed that we were able to have better outcomes for us when we could buy houses directly from the homeowners who needed our help.  So now rather than chasing bank-owned foreclosures, Kim’s job is to get the word out to our customers that we are here to help and if they want to sell with less stress, no commissions, and in a faster time frame, that we can help.

Then in 2011 Don’s son Scott Tucker graduated from KU at a time where there were very few jobs out there for college grads.  So rather than find a job, he joined the team and went back to school to get a Real Estate License, and joined our brokerage Realty Resource.  At the same time, he spent hours and hours learning all about houses and helping sellers.  Today, Scott is our guy on the front lines who talks to most of our sellers and helps them explore the best options for them.  Scott will chat with you over the phone, and do a bit of research.  Then he will come out to your house to take a look so he can help formulate the best plan of action to get your house sold, typically a cash offer from us, but because we are also agents, that may be a listing plan as well.

We are all Realtors licensed in the States of Kansas and Missouri.  As the site states, we are Home Buyers first and foremost.  We would much rather buy your house than list it . . . however, we are also licensed Realtors which gives us more tools in our toolbox to help you.

Because the Tuckers are all licensed, Realtors they can offer more options:

  • Typically the Investor Home Buyer can offer you an all-cash offer for your home.  We can do that!
  • Others will offer you a higher price if you can help them finance the house by carrying the financing or letting them take over your payments.  We can do that too!
  • But what if your house is in prime shape?  You don’t need to sell yesterday and can afford the luxury of a traditional Realtor Listed Sale?  Well, we can offer that option too.

The Tuckers are also Proud Members of the Following Organizations:

How We Work With Homeowners

We collect information about you and your situation.  We learn about your property, it’s condition and it’s values.  Then we formulate one or two of the above options that we think would most fit your situation.  So when you are ready to sell . . . or if you need to sell yesterday . . then give us a call.
